Arrangements of regional songs

He was born on January 30, 1942 in Moravské Lieskové. After the primary school completion, he started attending the high school in Trenčín; during these years, he used to attend a music school as a trumpet musician. After the high school completion, he started to play in a local brass band called "Dolinári". In 1974, he took over the brass band as a bandmaster. Under his leadership, the band has changed its name from "Dolinári" to "Bučkovanka". Mr. Dedík, Jr. has been in the head of the band until 1998. Along with the position of a band master, Jozef Dedík has also been arranging the songs from the region of High Javorina. The arrangements represent the middle level of difficulty, so they are available for the amateur bands as well. The selection of his arrangements has been presenting over 5 CD or MG records o Bučkovanka.
